Police seeking public’s help to identify man found hanging from Houston overhead crossing

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the remains of a male of African descent, who appears to be in his 20s, that was found hanging from the Houston, East Bank Demerara (EBD) overhead pedestrian crossing.

The Police said the man was discovered at about 05:30 h on Sunday. He was clad in a purple long-sleeve jersey, long cream pants and a black belt.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from the Central Fire Service pronounced the man dead. They escorted his body to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, awaiting identification and a Post Mortem Examination (PME). 

“No marks of violence were found, and no foul play is suspected,” the Police said.
